Mike hurts himself while practicing. Aom tries to help him but he refuses at first. That’s until he realizes that his injury is more serious than expected.
Aom gets a pack of ice and applies it on Mike’s ankle. She tries to be really careful and not press too much on it but she has to get it done anyway. Mike keeps asking her to be gentle and she keeps apologizing each time she hurts him.
Apparently it’s not the first time he hurts his ankle but this time seems to be worst. Mike asks Tok, his manager’s assistant, to contact a doctor for him. Tok is hell of worried: Mike has a show coming up next month. He asks Tok not to tell Benz and his manager about it.When the doctor visits Mike, we learn more about his injury. It’s mainly because he rehearses so much that his ankle got inflamed. The symtpoms have been chronic for quite a while now. Mike even made a mistake during a performance because of his injury. Tok is surprised that Aom doesn’t know about it (Oh Aom please don’t get caught). Aom suddenly remembers that Mike got hurt when he was teaching her how to bike in the park (OMG he even lied to her saying that nothing was wrong!!! Mike is being tooo sweet!). Pushing back the show is not an option because there is a new artist and Mike has been so quiet lately, mainly because of his marriage, that his manager wants him to have a strong comeback. The doctor’s instructions: Mike needs to rest as much as possible. A wheelchair and a therapist are also necessary.
Aom is worried but Mike tries to reassure her (You can tell that he is hiding his fear. Is it possible that he doesn’t Aom to worry for him??!!). Anyway Aom promises to take good care of him from now on. Mike loves hearing that. Seriously though isn’t Aom planning on causing more trouble (LOL)? She might even hurt him more; she already starts by accidentally tapping his ankle while she promises to take care of him…
The struggle begins for Aom. Mike keeps screaming her name asking for more FRESH orange juice, FRESH fruits, desserts, and even getting rid of spider webs (Mike be living that Princess life). Unfortunately Aom is not always easily tricked… She lets him get rid of the spider webs himself so he doesn’t get bored.
Mike even asks Aom to escort him to the bathroom when he has to pee. She takes him all the way in the bathroom; she is still standing there when he asks her if she intends to stay and cheer him. Aom has flashbacks of their trip to Korea and Mike’s allusions to his mammoth. She hurries and leaves.
Aom is watering the plants next to her family wall (The one with drawings of her at different ages) when Mike comes upstairs. He is bored of sitting. He teases her about her height but she doesn’t take it the wrong way and both actually joke about it. Aom tells Mike that the drawings were made by her father. He also told her that one can deal with everything in life; those big problems that bother us now will be meaningless later – referring to Mike’s injury.
Mike is supposed to sleep in the living room and call for Aom when needed. That plan doesn’t satisfy him (Greedy Mike) and he asks Aom to sleep closer (HUMMMMMM Mike admit that it’s not only because of your injury). He goes on a rant talking about how the date of the show is getting closer, his ankle still hurts, and his throat is sore – meaning he can’t scream her name too loud. Mike finally admits that he wants her to stay and keep him company (Woot woot). Aom agrees but tries to do work while there. Mike keeps disturbing her and asking her trivial questions. She ends up giving up on her work and chilling with Mike – talking about high school memories. She sleeps in the sofa next to Mike’s.
The next morning, the nurse arrives and indicates that he is here to take care of Mike: massage, take him to the bathroom, comfort Mike, etc. (Too late: Aom already got all of that covered). Mike slighltly shuts the door and tells him that his wife (OMG, he acknowledges Aom as his wife and he prefers her to take care of him!!!) can do it. It’s a win win situation. The nurse can think of it as a holiday. Mike just keeps some of the medical equipment…
Guy wants Mike to star in a romantic comedy, but not everyone is receptive to that idea. Mike is too old for that. Since he is married, he is more grown up than cute (Excuse me??!!! What about Ken, Tik, and co.??!! As far as I know they still play in rom-coms). Guy insists and adds that they are currently working on a script (Aom’s?).
After the meeting, Guy calls Aom but Mike is the one who picks up. In his own words, Guy asks to speak to Mike’s beautiful wife. Mike replies that Aom is not available. Guy can leave a message for her. Guy answers back that it’s private. Aom should call him back when she is available. He then asks about Mike’s ankle. Mike says that he is doing fine since Aom is taking care of him. Since he is fine, Aom should be free and call him back soon Guy says.
When Aom comes to get Mike to have food and medecine, he throws a tantrum. He can’t tell her why but insists that he is annoyed. He is not bored because of the food but because of her! He adds that he is even more annoyed to stay at home all day with her! Their argument is interrupted by another call from Guy (Clingy much). Guy lets Aom know that Mike obviously didn’t transfer his message; Aom finally understands the reason behind Mike’s tantrum.
Aom happily agrees to meet Guy in two hours and discuss the possible screen adaptation of her short novel. She doesn’t pay attention to Mike anymore and runs to meet Guy. Since he is bored to see her she will leave to go focus on her work. She is still mindful and before leaving she brings him food.
Aom and Guy meet in a cafe. She apologizes for being late but Guy is understanding (Of course he is). He likes her work, there are a few things that need to be changed but that’s not a big deal. It might even take a year but she shouldn’t give up (FIGHTING Aom!).They start working on the changes and for the first time Aom has a chance to explain her ideas to someone who really cares about it. Guy makes constructive comments and listen to her point of view.
Meanwhile Mike is home alone and bored…
After several hours working with Guy, Aom has to hurry back home to feed Mike. Guy is surprised with the tone she uses: it’s like she is talking about feeding an animal in a zoo. Aom asnwers by impersonating Mike when he complains that he is hungry. Guy laughs and suggests that they meet every Tuesday to work. Aom returns to a HOT mess; it’s Mike’s revenge for being left alone. He is so petty and cute; his reasoning is that there is only so much a bored and injured person can do.
Min contacts Guy; she needs to talk to him. They meet the same night. Min is feeling lonely lately especially since Mike has disappeared. Guy’s life hasn’t been easy lately either. Work is tiring and stressful. Min wants to have an honest conversation with Guy. She wants to know the truth about them (Since when were you guys a THEM? You wish…). Mike is now married and is not in the way anymore. Can Guy see her as more than a sister? As a woman? Guy gets upset. Why is Min always asking the same thing? He knows that it’s not because he is not direct enough but more because she hopes that he will eventually change his mind. There is a specific answer that she wants to hear but that will never happen. Guy drops the bomb: Even if there wasn’t Mike and she was the last woman left on earth, he would still consider her as his sister. Min keeps asking for more explanations (Seriously what more explanation can be given?! A drawing, a painting, a song??!). The only thing Guy can think of is: I have never loved you, I don’t love you, and I will never love you (Ouchhh). Min thanks him (Excuse me?! Thanking the guy who just broke your hurt?) and says that she is leaving for New York. She will only be back in 2-3 years and she basically needed this before leaving.
Soon after, Min calls Mike. Aom is the one to picking up and it’s clear that she hesitates before giving him the phone. She runs and throws the phone on him (Pretty much annoyed). Min says that she heard about his injury (Please don’t pretend! You know that’s not why you called -__-). She is afraid that since he needs to rest for another week, she won’t be able to see him before leaving for New York. She wants to leave as soon as possible since she doesn’t have anyone and Mike isn’t keeping his promise of taking care of her (That victim card -__-). Mike asks her to stay in Thailabnd (Whyyyy??!!) and he will go and meet her wherever she is now. Min says that she is at their usual spot.
Aom wants to know where Mike is going. If he needs something she can go get it for him. He ignores her. Next week is the show, he needs to rest. He keeps ignoring her and getting ready. Frustrated Aom asks if it’s because of Min. Why is he risking everything for her? Whenever Min calls him why does he have to rush over? Mike asks her what’s her problem – as in don’t meddle (Rude!).
Mike meets Min at the swings where they’ve been meeting since they were children. They think back about when Mike lost his sister. Mike’s father still went to the hospital right after the funeral. Mike’s mother and Min were the only ones truly there for him. Min promised to take care of him and always be there for him but as they grew up Mike was the one always taking care of her.
Mike asks her again if she can’t stay. There are a lot of things Min doesn’t need to understand about Aom and him because it doesn’t matter (OMG Mike you just didn’t say that?! Me saying that you were sweet earlier: I TAKE IT BACK). All that Min needs to know is that he will take care of her the same as before. Min wants to confirm and they make a promise. She leans on his shoulder. Despite his promise, uncomfort is written all over Mike’s face and he has flashbacks of moments that he spent with Aom…
Mike being hurt is another chance for Aom and him to spend more time together. Because he is hurt Mike wants to spend more time with Aom even if it’s just them sitting in the same room. I guess that’s what happens when you like someone; you want them to be near even if you are not necesarily interacting.
Guy and Min had a lot of screen time this episode and not always for the right reasons -__-. I am obviously biaised because I enjoy seeing Guy’s growing feelings for Aom whereas I can’t stand Min. The main reason is because Guy really cares for Aom; he was the first one to actually like her. He doesn’t try to interfere with her relationship with Mike. Plus we need Guy in order for Mike to acknowledge his feelings for Aom. Sorry Guy.
It’s funny how Mike gets possessive of Aom when Guy gets in the picture. Whereas Min…. hummm let’s just say I see her coming. Since she can’t have Guy her next target will most likely be Mike. I hate the fact that she is able to move on so fast because it makes me wonder if she is truly able to develop feelings for anyone. Min also shows a lot of selfishness. She knows that Mike is hurt but still lets him come out to meet her. What kind of friends do that? Let’s not forget that she emotionally manipulates him – leveraging the fact that she might be going to America and therefore using that victim card.
