Phu keeps texting Toei without answer: “I can’t stop thinking about you” or “I am sorry”. He knows that she sees the messages (Facebook messaging), and that she just doesn’t want to reply. To make things worst, Thee’s absence is felt too.
Phu ends up going to Toei’s house at night. When Toei opens the gate, he apologizes for showing up like this. He then starts apologizing. He shouldn’t have made a big deal of her friendship with Tar. The more Phu keeps talking, the more Toei looks crestfallen. With tears in her eyes, Toei tells Phu that certain things can’t change. He keeps begging her, but she tells him they should break up. Toei then closes the gate and leaves him outside begging.
Phu walks aimlessly and ends up in front of a bar. He goes in and immediately sits at the bar. He orders a beer from the bartender, who serves him despite knowing that he is underage. It’s at the bar that he sees Toei’s new relationship status on Facebook – single. That triggers more drinking…
When he is about to leave the bar, Phu realizes that he forgot his wallet. The sexy bartender tells him that it’s alright. She grabs his phone and dial her phone number as a security deposit. She also lends him money for the cab. Phu promises to come back the next day and repay the money.
Dao and Koi are passing notes in class. It ranges from the most random things to cute comments (i.e. You are so cute it makes me want to hug you). The couple’s cute moment is interrupted by the bell ringing. When packing her things to leave, Dao is provoked by Dew , who purposely bumps into her without apologizing.
Phu is back at the bar. He gives the money to the bartender and gets ready to leave, but she asks him to stay and grab another beer. Phu hesitates but ends up staying. The bartender asks him what’s going on. What is making him drink so much? Is it a love problem? Phu is surprised that she was able to pinpoint his problem so easily. He explains to her that his girlfriend recently broke up with him. He was being too jealous of her friendship with another guy. All he wanted is for her to place him above all her other friends. He did everything he could for her (Did you really -_____- ?).
The bartender, who is called P’Bom, patiently listens to him and then starts telling the story of the circle with a missing piece. The circle, because it wanted to find its missing piece, kept rolling on and on. It first met a triangle, but the two didn’t fit together so the circle kept rolling. The circle then met a second triangle, which didn’t fit either. Then the circle met the third triangle. For a while, everything worked perfectly with the third triangle, but eventually the two couldn’t fit anymore. The circle and the third triangle went on their separate ways and then the circle met the first triangle again. Although they didn’t fit at first, they ultimately did!
P’Bom told this story for Phu to realize that love is unpredictable. It doesn’t always go as planned. She tells Phu that she dated a German guy, but when he left the country to go take care of his sick father he never contacted her again. There were two solutions: live happily or depressed on her own.
“You can miss someone without making it painful for yourself.”
Kwan shows Mhog some of the pictures she has taken. He asks Kwan to give one of them to her although it is blurry and out of focus. It’s a picture of him. Kwan then tells him that she decided to go for dentistry. Communication arts will be her back up plan.
Porsche drops Sprite back at her house after a date. Sprite reaches to the backseat of the car to grab a cake she bought for her mother. Porsche tries to help her since she seems to have a hard time reaching it. The two end up having their faces really close and kiss. The kiss was light and Sprite isn’t as responsive. She quickly pulls away. Porsche isn’t discouraged and asks her to be his girlfriend. They have been hanging out for a month and although it’s not long he knows he likes her for sure. Sprite is unsure and asks him to carefully reconsider. Once he gets to know her he might change his mind.
Once inside, Sprite has a heart to heart with her mother. The latter notices Sprite’s long face. She is even more surprised when she learns that she isn’t in a good mood after having a date. Sprite says that it’s because of Phai. The mother is annoyed. Phai is not the only boy in the world. How long is Sprite going to wait for him? Why would Sprite wait for someone who can’t make a promise? The conversation is interrupted by a phone call from Mhog.
Mhog invites Sprite to his father’s condo in Hua Hin. He wants to invite Sprite, Kwan and other friends. Mhog wants to participate in a photography contest and it’s a good place to go take pictures while hanging out. Sprite is not fooled though. She knows the person Mhog wants to particularly invite is Kwan. He just doesn’t want to make it that obvious.
Phu meets P’Bom’s friends when he goes to see her at the bar. They are all having drinks and discussing all sorts of topics, mainly revolving around sex, relationships, and their ways of life. The group is pretty diverse, non conform, and open minded. At the end of the night, P’Bom and Phu get close and end up in bed. After having sex, they lay next to each other and chat.
Phu confesses that she thought P’Bom was a lesbian. P’Bom confesses that she thought Phu was gay. It turns out that they both dated someone of the same sex. Phu explains that he broke up with Thee because he didn’t like him as much. He had realized that he had feelings for Toei. Phu knows that it was painful for Thee, but it felt like it would be worst to lie to him about his feelings. P’Bom smiles and tells Phu that the problem isn’t about him being bisexual, gay, or straight. The problem is that he is a cheater.
Mhog invites Win to the trip in Hua Hin – a chance for Win to relax and forget all the gossips and nasty comments about him. Mhog then goes to Kwan. He tells Kwan about the trip and she tells him that she is taking an exam for the dentistry program. Maybe after the exam?
Tar is also invited. He gets a phone call from Mhog before SeeScape’s new rehearsal/trial. Tar is introduced to Ryu, Sun, and Ae by Pang.
The three immediately start practicing with Tar and the first try is an epic fail. They are singing out of tune and the guitarist isn’t following the notes. Phai, who is there to help, is not convinced at all.
Meanwhile Pop is recording the performance on his phone. Tar asks the musicians to stop. He gives directions and advice. The second try is a lot better.
At the end of the rehearsal, Tar is pretty happy and doesn’t fail to share it with Pop and Phai once the others are gone. Is Pop going to share the video he recorded via I Am Source? Pop says no. He recorded just for fun. As a matter of fact, Pop is giving up on I Am Source. He realizes that I Am Source creates a lot of gossip and rumors. The videos have been hurting too many people. Tar doesn’t want Pop to give up. He encourages Pop to continue with the videos, but make them better.
Tar also gives advice to Phai when he finds out how things are going between Sprite and him. Phai tells Tar that there is nothing between Sprite and him. He’s been dying to get back with Sprite, but he can’t promise that he won’t break up again for the same reasons. Phai admits that he can’t get over his insecurities. Tar is smart enough to ask him if he explained all of that to Sprite herself. Phai realizes that he didn’t. He leaves in a rush…
Meanwhile Porsche and Sprite are having a date. Porsche was afraid that Sprite was mad at him. He even posted on her Facebook page. Facebook? Sprite realizes that Porsche posted on a fake page. Later on when Porsche drops off Sprite, he tells her that he was being serious about his feelings toward her. He really likes her. He wants both of them to get to know each other. Will she date him? Sprite asks him to reconsider again, but she eventually gives in since Porsche is sure. The two kiss – something Phai doesn’t fail to miss.
Phai is drowning his sorrow in alcohol. Clubbing with his friends and a group of girls, Phai drinks non stop and ends up having a one night stand with a girl called Fern. Phai is totally disoriented when he wakes up the next morning in a hotel room. Fern and Phai grab a bite to eat and it turns out to be the most awkward lunch ever. Fern is obviously interested in Phai, but it’s not the same for him.
Phu has been spending so much time out with P’Bom that he is caught by his mother. Phu is not back home late, but early. His mother is furious that he’s been out all night. He lies that he’s been working on a report at a friend’s. The mother isn’t fooled, especially when she smells cigarets on his shirt.
Phai is smoking with his group of friends (I guess it’s the same group as during his troublemaking days). Phai tells his friends that using another girl to forget Sprite is not working out for him. It’s actually making it worst. His friends tell him to relax: It’s just for fun. He will eventually get better with time.
Things keep getting worst between Phu and his mother when he sneaks out at night. Phu wasn’t planning on going out until he received a phone call from P’Bom. She had something important to say to him. Phu anxiously waits for his mother to go to bed to sneak out. Yet, while opening the gate his mother sees him. She runs to him. The argument between the two isn’t pretty as Phu doesn’t want to explain why he has to go out so late at night (I don’t think she would be satisfied with the answer anyway). Phu’s mother gives him an ultimatum: If he leaves, she will not speak to him again. Phu apologizes but still leaves.
It turns out that P’Bom wanted to say goodbye to Phu. Her boyfriend gave her call from Germany. She purchased a ticket and she doesn’t know when she’ll be back. She might not come back at all. Phu is sad at first but is fairly understanding. He realizes that P’Bom’s decision to choose someone else over him is exactly what he did to Thee.
He finally understands how it feels.
Phu sees P’Bom off at the airport along with all her other friends. Before she gets to the gate, he yells her name. When P’Bom turns around, Phu tells her that they might bump roll, circle, and maybe bump into each other again in the future. (Reference to the circle and first triangle).
The last scene of the episode is pretty shocking: Win is sitting at his desk doing a hard drug – probably cocaine since he is sniffing it…
Clearly Sprite and Phai are both insecure. Phai can’t trust Sprite; he doesn’t believe that she won’t cheat on him. Meanwhile Sprite thinks guys fall for her at first but always end up not liking her so much at the end. I feel like Phai’s insecurities have caused so much pain to Sprite already. It’s made her doubt her worth and her relationships overall. I am happy that she is with Porsche now. Maybe it will work out for her, but that’s only a wish. Seeing how Phai is taking it so far isn’t a good sign.
It’s like he has already fallen back in his bad ways. Smoking, drinking, and probably getting into trouble again. I remember seeing in the trailer that Phai attacked someone and Sprite crying. I hope the person being hurt is not Porsche…
I loved P’Bom’s character. Not only because she gives a taste of his own medicine to Phu – by choosing to rekindle with her ex – but also because of all the advice she’s been able to give to Phu. I feel like Phu was able to vent and confide into someone that wouldn’t judge him. P’Bom tells Phu that it’s not about his sexual orientation but about him being a cheater. Knowing that Phu is a cheater doesn’t make P’Bom look down on him or anything. I think it’s important for Phu to recognize that he is fickle. As a matter of fact, the sooner he realizes it the sooner he won’t get other people involved in his mess. I think Phu might be one of those that are better single or in open relationships.
