It starts where we left off last week. Mhog calls Win’s name. He is genuinely happy to see Win and invites him inside. In Mhog’s room, Win notices several pictures. All the faces are familiar. He especially stares at Kwan’s picture. Win and Mhog catch up. Win was sent abroad by his father and now he is planning on returning to school. Mhog asks if it’s a good idea. Win answers yes. What Win is worried about is if Tar is still mad at him.
Dao invited her friends to sleep over – Elle, Dew, and K. They are fangirling over the video of a concert. Dao starts imitating the kiss shared by the two male celebrities in the video – fan service – by going after her friends pretending to kiss them. Elle records Dao (I sense nothing good coming out of this video).
Win is back on Monday. His return creates a fury of questions. Is that Win? He’s back?! Didn’t Win quit school?
The video of Dao recorded by Elle is shown to Dao and her friends. Dao and K are so cute. They should totally be a couple. They even talk like a couple.
Win sits next to Mhog in class. Mhog sees Tar passing by and calls his name through the open window. Tar walks in class. There is a lot of tension between Tar and Win. Win apologizes. Is Tar still angry? Tar doesn’t answer the question, but asks Win where he was. Win answers that he was abroad – New York. Tar tries to act tough but is so curious about Win’s trip that he breaks the ice by asking several questions. The discussion is interrupted when Win spots Kwan.
Win goes to Kwan. He apologizes for everything he did to her. He is sorry that he caused her pain and begs for her forgiveness. Kwan accepts Win’s apology. She adds that things will not be like before though (Th trust has been broken).
Kan and Toei acknowledge each other. Given what they have been through there is a certain complicity.
Tar makes sure to check on Toei after Professor Kin’s incident. Phu sees the two of them laughing and steps in. He diverts Toei’s attention and also thanks Tar for saving Toei last time. When Tar and Toei head back to class together, Phu can’t help but feel uncomfortable.
Koi and Dao are being adorable again. A younger student even comes and asks if she can take a picture of them. Dao and Koi later learn from their friends that they are on the Dreamy Couple page (Rumors slowly coming for sure!). There was already the video that Elle took and now a picture of the two.
Tar and Pang are playing music together. Tar, the guitar, and Pang is singing (Pang’s voice is quite pretty). They decide to upload the video on YouTube (Is a new star born?).
Dao and Koi are shopping together for bras. Koi plays around with the string of Dao’s bra and hurts her a little too much. Looking at the bruise she made on Dao’s back, Koi’s hand starts to linger. The moment is interrupted by Dao who breaks eye contact with Koi.
Once out of the store, Dao spots Din with another girl (Din is his name right!? :-D. Hopefully it is). Dao has painful flashbacks of what happened between him and her. Dao is scared to face her thoughts alone. She asks Koi to stay over tonight.
The same night, Dao tells Koi about Din. How they met. How nice Din was. How he abandoned her after they slept together. Dao thought she was pregnant; she realizes that she was the only one facing the fear. Din was out there hanging out with some other girl. Koi tells Dao to let it go and move on. Dao leans on Koi’s shoulder. Koi gives a slight kiss on Dao’s nose; she then kisses Dao’s lips. Koi feels awkward and then turns away, but Dao holds on to her. Dao also thanks her for always being there for her.
Phai is studying with Sprite (With the amount of studying they have been doing, Phai better ace this class :-D). Their study session is interrupted by a guy who is TOO excited to see Sprite. He wants to have coffee with her some time. When he leaves, it’s clear that Phai is unhappy. It gets worst when Sprite gets a phone call from Porsche. He got her phone number from Kwan. Porsche asks Sprite on a date – a movie. Sprite says no for today since she is tutoring, but they can talk about it another time. When she hangs up, Phai points out that she must be so popular now because of her being in a magazine. Sprite asks him if he is jealous. Phai says no since he has no rights (Liar! You have no right, but you are jealous regardless). What Phai wants to know is if things will get better between them. Sprite answers of course. She still has feelings that’s why she is helping him with his class. She asks him if they should get back together. In the past, Phai told her that he couldn’t relax around her. Can he now? Will he treat her better? Phai says that he can’t promise that. Sprite packs and leave. She receives a text from Porsche and decides to go on a date with him.
Toei and Tar have been commenting on a social media update back and forth, which Phu doesn’t fail to notice. He starts to have doubts about Tar’s feelings toward Toei…
Dao and Koi are sitting outside playing a guessing game when they are joined by Elle. Elle tells Dao and Koi that they might fall in love if they continue to be so close. That wouldn’t be a bad thing though. Dao’s mother wouldn’t have to worry about her daughter being taken advantage of by a guy. The comment irritates Dao since that topic can be touchy. Dew joins in. Dao and Koi are so popular now. The younger girl who took the picture of Dao and Koi last time, Je T’aime, is the admin of the Dreamy Couple page. It turns out that Je T’aime added plenty of picture of Dao and Koi. Dao wants Je T’aime to take the pictures down, but Dew and Elle don’t understand why. It’s just for fun. What’s the big deal about it?
At this point, the Dao-Koi rumor is going around school.
Tar reaches out to P’Jom – the leader of SeeScape. He wants to recruit new members and keep the name of the band. Tar promises to keep the band as good as before. P’Jom objects. Tar should make it better than before! Tar is thrilled and Pang promises to help him recruit new members. She already has someone in mind.
Phu and Toei are on a date when she receives a call from Tar. When Toei hangs up, Phu wonders why she is talking to Tar while on a date with him. Toei always looks so happy around Tar. It’s hard for him not to be jealous. Plus Tar used to like Toei. Tar even wrote a song for her and rescued her when she needed it. Toei explains that it was before; Tar now has a girlfriend. Phu insists that it doesn’t mean anything. He feels like he does so much for Toei, but she doesn’t reciprocate. Toei asks what she can do to make him feel better. Phu asks her to stop hanging out with Tar. Toei asks him if that isn’t selfish (Let me answer for Phu! Yes, it is!). Toei leaves Phu standing there.
Toei tries to be the bigger person though. She calls Phu, but without an answer. She finds out through Facebook that he is hanging out with his bandmates at the dorm.
Phu is in the dorm drinking with three other bandmates, including Thee. His friends have been trying to cheer him up, but they need to leave at some point. They have Thee take care of Phu. One of the bandmates adds that if Phu is heartbroken because of Toei Thee is always there.
Phu tells Thee that he knows he is being stupid, but he doesn’t know what else to do. He can’t help how he feels especially when Toei gives more importance to someone else. Phu adds that he feels like he loves Toei more than she loves him. Thee tells him that he can be sad for tonight, but he will need to be strong tomorrow. Phu thanks him.
Phu: “You are the person that’s always been there for me.”
Phu and Thee slowly get closer (I feel like Phu is the one that made the first move).
Toei takes a taxi to the dorm. She keeps trying to call Phu while heading inside. When she opens the door of the marching band dorm, she first spots men clothes on the floor. Then she sees Phu and Thee lying naked. Toei quickly leaves.
Later on, Thee quietly leaves.
The next day, Thee quits the marching band. He is being yelled at by the coach, who is furious. If any other seniors plan on leaving, they need to tell him now. Phu runs after Thee. Why is Thee quitting? How can Phu even ask? Thee explains that he tried to get over Phu, but when it is working Phu walks back. How can Phu do this to him? The best solution is to cut Phu out of his life.
The Dao-Koi rumor isn’t stopping, but instead amplifying. Dew keeps teasing Dao to the point that Dao hurts her with a musical instrument – a chap. The parents of both girls are called at school. Dao is asked if she likes girls or if she was irritated because of Dew’s behavior. Dao denies liking girls although Koi is standing right there. Dao claims that she is a “normal girl.”
Koi confronts Dao in the school’s bathroom. Why did Dao lie? Dao admits that she didn’t want to admit in front of all those people that she liked girls. Would have Koi admitted it? Koi tells Dao that she doesn’t have to tell other people, but she can be honest with her. Dao tries to put an end at the conversation, which deeply hurts Koi. Yet, when Koi turns her back and starts leaving Dao gives her a backhug. Dao begs Koi not to tell Momzilla.
Thanks again to Kudalakorn!
This episode proved to be especially hard for Dao, Koi, Thee, and Toei. Sorry, but I don’t feel that bad for Phu.
The problems started with Phu’s insecurities. What he wanted was a 50/50 relationship with Toei- where both showed their affection at the same level. The thing is Phu never gave that chance to Toei. He was already doing a 80 and not leaving Toei a chance to express her feelings. Also I think Phu disregarded the fact that we all have different ways to express our feelings. Toei was just less vocal about it.
What I noticed about the kiss between Phu and Thee is how different it is from the time Phu kissed Toei. The kiss with Toei was more reserved and cute; the one with Thee is more passionate. Most likely Phu has feelings for both, but is it possible that he prefers one unknowingly. Meaning the person that he claims to prefer might not really be Toei…
I am happy that Thee and Toei will be able to both move on. What I dislike is the fact that Thee blames Phu for the fact that they slept together. Thee should have known better. He knew that Phu had a girlfriend, but still slept with him. Yes, he loves Phu but he should have considered the repercussions. Them sleeping together was consensual so he can blame Phu for other things but I feel like he is partly at fault here.
Toei’s face when she sees Thee and Phu on the bed… The betrayal is too great. I hope she will never take Phu back because he doesn’t deserve it. They were friends before so he owed her way more respect. Plus she believed him when everyone said that there was something between Thee and him.
One more comment about Phu: His emotions are all over the place. Last season, we had the same thing with Win. I guess now it’s Phu’s turn to experience a crisis and maybe that’s an indicator that something big has changed about Win. We can’t have two troublemakers in the same season :-D.
We are already four episodes in and still no movement forward when it comes to Kwan, Mhog, and Win. I hope the director didn’t forget that they are major characters too 😀 .
Plus what is going on with Sprite and Phai?! Phai needs to make up his mind. He can’t keep this relationship on pause. It needs to resume or completely stop. If he is not sure about what he wants that’s fine, but he needs to let Sprite go. My fear is that when Phai will want to get back with Sprite it will be a little too late.
Also a lot of denial this episode coming from Dao. The way she said that she was not into girls was quite hurtful for Koi.
Dao uses the expression “normal girl.” What does that even mean? So girls with a different sexual orientation have something wrong going on…? Well, I know that’s not how Dao feels, but more how society feels. I love that the director was able to give us a glimpse of how society feels about a girl-girl relationship. Since Season 1, we have only seen the Phu-Thee story. It’s interesting to see how girls go through the same thing.
Can I add that Dao needs to get rid of Elle too? At this point, I think it’s pretty clear that the friendship between Dew and Dao is over. Good riddance. As friends, Elle and Dew are insensitive and wouldn’t hesitate pushing Dao under the bus. I think it’s best to cut them off.
