Recapping Bu Bu Jing Qing has been similar to torture. Twenty three episodes in, which is a little more than halfway through, and it is time to declare forfeit. We are both sorry to all those who expected more recaps of the show. We planned on doing so, but this show is definitely not something we want to keep working on. This drama has been such a disappointment. It doesn’t live up to expectations and ruins the sad, but beautiful ending of Bu Bu Jing Xin.
A painful walk down memory lane as both of our characters think about what their relationship could have been if they had met sooner or if other people weren’t involved.
Shi Hoon and Eun Chae both see something that they weren’t supposed to. Eun Chae sees Ji Yeon and Dong Ha kissing when she goes to give Ji Yeon her cellphone. Soo Chul, who closely followed her, urges her to keep silent. And Shi Hoon sees Ji Yeon helping a drunk Dong Ha in his apartment.
Dong Ha breaks down in tears once in his apartment (T__T).
The next day Shi Hoon picks up Ji Yeon. He vows to keep behaving well from now on (Let’s see how long that lasts). What is painful is that Dong Ha sees both of them in the car at a traffic light (Painful reminder… Not like he needed it). Once at work, Dong Ha focuses on getting his work done and nothing more. He doesn’t pay attention to Ji Yeon and doesn’t even try to help her.
Take your Kleenex out. This episode was emotionally charged 😦
Ji Yeon replays the back hug with Dong Ha. Dong Ha is also thinking about when Ji Yeon lived with Soo Chul and him – Dong Ha feeding Ji Yeon sandwiches he made, teasing her while she was watching TV, etc. (Can those two be any cuter?!).
Yet, when both see each other at work they feel awkward. They don’t know what to say or how to act around each other. They try to crack up some jokes and it slightly works. Ji Yeon says that she is happy to be home. Still now, she hears Soo Chul’s voice urging her to get out of the restroom.
Disclaimer: I wrote this review before finishing the drama and oh boy I wish I had the courage to completely rewrite everything. This drama started off so good. The characters were cute and the plot made some sense. That was until the director ruined it all with repetitive arguments between the characters. Every time I thought an issue was resolved, the same problem would come again for the next five episodes. The ending was also rushed and didn’t tie loose ends.
To be honest, I started skipping throughout the episodes at some point… I am glad that I did.
Lu Tian Xing is an advertising genius. He is the CEO of one of the largest advertising company and credited for many successful campaigns. Tian Xing’ success makes him slightly conceited and sometimes annoying. When Tian Xing decides to take a break, everyone is surprised. The employees of his company, especially the COO, are shocked and don’t know how to work without him.
Tian Xing drops his business clothes and uses his alter ego Xiao Lu to work at OZ. Compared to Tian Xing, Xiao Lu is funnier, nicer, and outgoing.
CEO KZT receives a picture of a meeting between YZ and the hair clasp thief. He has a sudden dizzy spell and that’s when his wife walks in. She urges him to take his pain killers. The mother also sees the video and is flabbergasted. CEO KZT confronts YZ but he denies having anything to do with it. Where is the hair clasp? YZ affirms that he isn’t lying because he doesn’t know where it is. Yes, he instructed someone to steal it, but that person now disappeared. CEO KZT is furious! Was this the only way he could think of to promote the company’s products? How is YZ going to take responsibility? Does YZ think that he [CEO KZT] will let him off because of his mother (Someone is mad O_O).
Shi Hoon’s assistant asks someone in the museum to take the picture with Ji Yeon’s face down. The lady refuses. The picture is already up and visitors have already seen it (Shady assistant). Anyhow it’s too late since Ji Yeon saw it.
After Shi Hoon’s confession, reporters gather around them. The unwanted attention causes Shi Hoon to drag Ji Yeon out. Reporters run after them, but are unable to catch them.
Standing at the door, YZ persists in wanting to know more about Lan Lan. He starts by asking her about the earring. She said an Auntie gave it to her, but she passed away already. She tells him she will tell him everything, but that she needs time and space. She wants to be slowly appreciated, like a magnolia flower. YZ says that she may be the person he has been looking for his entire life and that he has the same dream very often of a lady holding a magnolia flower and whose face he can’t see.
